About Me

Jayna is an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with Older Adolescents, Young Adults and Adults addressing various life issues whether it is Gender Identity, Depression, Anxiety, Learning Differences, Eating Disorders or other challenges.  She is in private practice in Providence, Rhode Island.

With over 25 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Boston University specializing in Clinical Mental Health.  Among her areas of expertise are in working with gender non-conforming people in need of support through various aspects of life transitions,   She also is well-versed in supporting older high school students and college students in undertanding more about learning differences and other needs for successes that are so important at this time in life.

In addition to being a prominent therapist, Jayna has presented at National conferences and to professional audiences speaking on the working within the LBGTQQI as an extraordinary ally.

Jayna is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, s/he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Jayna is a standing member of the National Association of Social Workers since 1978.  She is also a member of WPath which guides the standards of care for the Transgender Community.
